OVERVIEW:

Very often it becomes obvious that there is a lack of technical skills in the industrial environment of Malaysia. This is also true in the area of calibration. Frequently technicians are put into positions of conducting Metrological work with little training. This then brings about a lack of appreciation and disconcern about the effects this training gap has on the quality, productivity and profitability of the organisation. How many times is a good product rejected or a defective product accepted is hardly known.

OBJECTIVE

To understand the – need for accurate, precise and correct measurements effect of measurements on products and profits factors affecting measurement accuracy need for calibration, calibration systems and controls application and effects of measuring instruments.
